How The After-effects Of Cancer Led Me To Mi365 And A Transformed Life

Mi365 - Yvonne O'Hara

Hello. I’m Yvonne and I’m from the south of Scotland. I work in procurement for an independent housing association.

Before I came across Mi365 I’d spent many years going through periods of anxiety and depression, as well as constantly aiming to improve my behaviours and attitudes. I’d tried various methods, including CBT, counselling and personal development.

Then I was diagnosed with breast cancer and after a mastectomy was determined to ensure I took it as an opportunity to improve my mental and physical health. I knew what I’d been trying for years only worked for a short time, though I was able to get back on track, and never gave up, I was searching for something that would take me to the next level.

One aspect of having breast cancer was that I’d lost a lot of confidence. My joy was non-existent and I knew I needed all the help I could get. I came across Pete’s daily broadcasts and they began to fire me up. I felt that by committing to Elite, I would have more exposure to amazing materials and discovering ways to counteract my negative bouts and grow through to a better version of me. The results have been so much more than I could’ve dreamed.

I’ve been transformed. The coaching, masterclasses and podcasts are phenomenal, the support from fellow members, like-minded people, is truly unique. Pete Cohen subtly but surely brings out the warrior, superhero, spartan and very best of you, providing techniques that are simple but effective, he also brings clarity and understanding that it’s you, no one else who changes your outcomes. I now understand application and practice are required to ensure lasting change.

These days I have so much more confidence, love of myself and others. I have a new, more fulfilling job, which I would never have dreamed I would be able to do before Mi365. I am continuously looking for ways to continue to grow, improve and help others. When challenges arise I look for an opportunity to learn from them and I am able to accept that, even if I don’t see it immediately, something good will come out of it. I appreciate my family, friends, colleagues and even complete strangers so much more.

I always said my health is my number 1 important thing in my life, I now appreciate that it actually is. I eat better and no longer indulge in drinking and eating habits that don’t serve my health. I exercise, and keep at it, even when I don’t want to, because I know how much better I’ll feel. I’m able to run – which I just didn’t do before!
My biggest learning is that I can do anything I choose to. The only limits are those I put on myself. I’ve written poetry, tapping into my creativity and meditation has become such a part of my life that my husband has started to meditate too. At weekends we meditate together which is wonderful.
My future is so exciting. I’ve got loads to do, and I’m embarking on a volunteering opportunity which aligns with my wish to help people living with and recovering from Cancer. It includes gentle movement classes, organised walks and gardening – another new adventure. My goal this year is to run 10k, and I’m aiming to say ‘yes’ to as much as possible.
The most wonderful thing for me has been fulfilling my wish to coach people. I want to guide them to understand their worth, ultimately running my own coaching and healing business. I’ve just had my first paying client – the first of many I’m sure.
I just know, now, that the sky’s the limit!
